Fall in Love With H&M

I always get excited whenever I get updates from H&M! The fashion mega powerhouse has tons of fashionable goodies for the entire family –  this fall season! Global sensation, song-writer & singer — Lana Del Rey — is set to be the new face of H&M for this fall’s season.

Lana is set to star in a print campaign shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, as well as a full-length film of Lana singing a cover of “Blue Velvet”, shot by director Johan Renck. Lana became an instant worldwide star earlier this year with her single “Video Games” taken from the multimillion selling album “Born to Die”, and is known globally for her distinctive personal style. For the print campaign, Lana wears the best of H&M’s fashion for Fall, from a pink angora blend sweater to printed leggings, a tweed biker jacket and a tweed figure-hugging faux leather trimmed dress. The film is a fully-plotted music video starring Lana as she sings “Blue Velvet”, which will be available to see in its entirety at hm.com from September 19, with edited versions used as a TV campaign. Lana will also star in a second print campaign later in the season, featuring the best of winter fashion.

Fashion Forward With Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week & GREENFashion Showroom

Hello Lovelies,

Today’s tribute is to the fashion conscious mavens — like the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week & GREENshowroom — an amazing fashion & green fusion  –was a huge success. This integration highlighted sustainable fashion’s rise.  Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin continues to house this event, now in its 6th year.  Sustainable eco fashion trends are showcased to the vast international & national attendees.

Among the 25 labels — were Anne Gorke, Deep Mello and Sarah Reinhard. If your label would like to send  your models down the runway — you must prove (in advance) that no less than 60% of your collection is sustainable.

Make up throughout the show was sponsored by AVEDA — the natural cosmetic brand, who opt to use pink eye shadow in soft rouge, adorning the outer corners of the eyes; while the rest of the makeup remained natural — with only the lips accented with pink lip gloss.

Voluminous hairstyles and soft colors set the stage for this unique show.
