Ever wondered how a beauty trend came about? TotalBeauty.com recently published Trend Evolution, which explains the ‘coveted’ phenomenon.
Let’s look at the feather extension craze of 2011. To understand a trend, you must first see it at the source – the runway! In an amazing sequence of events, the beauty ‘must-haves’ cycle originates from the creative styles of the season’s fashion designers. Then its onto the red carpet, all before reaching the “real girl.”
Beauty On The Runway
One of this years leading influencers is dark lip shades. No more bright or neutral lip shades, but instead – dare to trend bold. Crank up your beauty style with a deep lip color. Thanks to Christian Sirano’s runway style featured at past seasons Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, deep shades of mulberry graced the lips of his models. Other dark lip trendsetters included Yves Saint Laurent, Alice + Olivia, and Gucci – just to name a few.
Beauty On The Red Carpet
As summer sizzled on, so does the array of dark lip shades, which can be found on Hollywood’s top trendsetters like Emma Stone, Freida Pinto and Rose Byrne – all spotted trending dark shades hues on the red carpet. Started at the Met Ball on May 9, Camilla Belle, Jessica Alba and Kate Bosworth all wore deep and rich lip shades.
