Hello Elite Socialistas,
As a mother, it makes sense my life — revolve around my children! One thing I remember growing up was the magazines which created the beautifully ambitious Media Maven today! The Essence, Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Allure, Lucky, InStyle. But I can’t recall any magazine or any resource for that matter, that empowered, entertained & educated tween & teen girls of a multicultural heritage! I mean, sure…we have the master icons of the ages such as Conde Nast and Hearst, in addition to the other greats such as O Magazine. However, these magazines definitely catered to an adult audience. Where were the beauty, fashion, style “MagaT(w)eens – a multicultural tween & teen magazine” as an enthusiastic resources with the mission to motivate our multicultural tween & teen daughters?
And Jr. Elite Socialistas was born! In fact, during one of our family meetings (literally, my girls are active members in my bloganista work) and I realized that the diversity in available teen & tween magazine was seriously voided! Both Jazz & Starr will be the inspiration behind the content contained in Jr. Elite Socialistas MagaT(w)een.
