Dina Manzo, of HGTV’s “Dina’s House Party” and formally of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” Invites Women to Change their Shoes and Change a Child’s Life. The Project Ladybug Fund at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital announces its fifth annual Ladies’ Night Out event, “Wine, Women & Shoes,” on Monday, May 23, 2011 from 7-11 p.m. at the Brownstone in Paterson, NJ.
Project Ladybug founder Dina Manzo, with the help of sponsors such as the Active Center for Health and Wellness in Hackensack, NJ, will host an evening of “sole-searching” and wine-tasting to raise funds for childhood cancer patients. Surprise celebrity guests and an expected attendance of 1,200 well-heeled women and their “solemates,” will enjoy a night of wine, food, and luxury boutique shopping amongst the industry’s leading shoe and accessory designers, while fundraising to benefit Project Ladybug’s fund. Attendees will place their bids on an array of items featured in the Glass Slipper Silent Auction and Tricky Tray. Guests will also be invited to purchase chances for the Key to the Closet contest, in which one lucky key will unlock a closet full of luxury fashion items, gift certificates and other treasures.
“Every year this event draws in more supporters who recognize the importance of giving back to children who are in need,” says Dina Manzo, founder of Project Ladybug. “We want to continue to educate people about the reality of childhood cancer, and how they can contribute to making a difference while enjoying a Ladies’ Night Out.”
A fresh take on fundraising, the evening invites guests to wear their favorite shoes and shop exclusive fashion and beauty vendors including Saks Fifth Avenue, Mallory Musante, Co Co boutique, My Peace and Love, Revive Skincare and Laura Mercier. Participating wineries include Opici Wine Group, Blackstone Winery, Women of the Vine and Robert Mondavi Wine. Guests will also be treated to relaxing wellness treatments from Active Center for Health & Wellness including chair massages, hand facials and Reiki.
New Jersey Gatsby Salon owner Gayle Giacomo and manager Christy Periera, both of Style Network’s hit reality series “Jerseylicious”, will be on hand to offer red hair extensions to guests, courtesy of SO.CAP.USA, so they can show support for the Project Ladybug Fund.
“Wine Women & Shoes” will begin at 7pm at The Brownstone, 351 West Broadway, Paterson, NJ 07522. Tickets are available for $150.00. To purchase, please visit the fund online. Be there, be fabulous!
